# List Instagram conversations by contact

> POST https://api.nabrah.ai/api/ext/omni_v2/instagram/contact/{contact_id}

Group: Instagram. Page: https://www.nabrah.ai/en/docs/api-reference/instagram/list-instagram-conversations-by-contact

Lists the Instagram conversations of the contact identified by `contact_id` on one of the project's Instagram accounts, with optional server-side filtering in the request body and pagination via the `page` query parameter. The response returns a `meta` block with conversation counts (`all_count`, `mine_count`, `unassigned_count`, `assigned_count`) and a `payload` array of conversation objects. Send an empty `filters` array to return all of the contact's Instagram conversations.

## Authentication

- **X-API-Key header**: Send your Web API key (prefix `nb_`) in the `X-API-Key` header. The key is scoped to one project; the contact must belong to that project.

## Filtering and pagination

- **filters**: The request body takes a `filters` array. Send an empty array `[]` to return all of the contact's Instagram conversations, or add filter objects to narrow the results.
- **page**: Use the `page` query parameter to page through results. The response `meta` reports `all_count`, `mine_count`, `unassigned_count`, and `assigned_count`. Fields: `meta.all_count`, `meta.mine_count`, `meta.unassigned_count`, `meta.assigned_count`.

## Choosing the Instagram account

A project can connect more than one Instagram account. `inbox_id` selects the account this call works on.

- **One account**: `inbox_id` is optional; the project's only Instagram account is used.
- **More than one account**: `inbox_id` is required and the call returns 400 without it. An id that is not one of the project's Instagram accounts returns 404. Fields: `inbox_id`.

List the accounts and their ids with GET /api/ext/omni_v2/instagram/inboxes.

## Reply window

Instagram allows replies within 24 hours of the customer's last message; after that, API sends return 409 until the customer writes again. Team members replying from the platform can still reply for up to 7 days.

- **reply_window_ends_at**: Each Instagram conversation carries `reply_window_ends_at`: a Unix timestamp for when the reply window closes, counted from the customer's last message. Sending after it returns 409 `reply_window_closed`. Fields: `reply_window_ends_at`.

## Authorization

- `X-API-Key` (string, header, required): your workspace API key.

## Path parameters

- `contact_id` (integer, required): Numeric identifier of the contact whose Instagram conversations are listed. Obtained from `GET /api/ext/omni_v2/contact` or `GET /api/ext/omni_v2/contact/search` (the contact `id` field).

## Query parameters

- `page` (integer, optional): 1-based page account of conversations to retrieve. Omit to fetch the first page. Increment until the returned payload array is empty to iterate over all conversations.
- `inbox_id` (string, optional): The `id` of the Instagram account to use, from GET /api/ext/omni_v2/instagram/inboxes. Use `inboxes[].id` (a UUID), not the numeric `inboxes[].inbox_id`. Optional while the project has one Instagram account; required once it has more than one.

## Body (application/json)

### Example: All Instagram conversations

Return every Instagram conversation for the contact (empty filters).

```json
{
  "filters": []
}
