# List tools

> GET https://api.nabrah.ai/api/ext/tool

Group: Tools. Page: https://www.nabrah.ai/en/docs/api-reference/tools/list-tools

List every tool defined in the current project. Tools are custom function-calling capabilities (HTTP webhooks) that an agent can invoke during a conversation to fetch data or trigger actions in your own systems. Authentication is by API key, so the project is determined by the key and there is no project_id parameter. Use this endpoint to discover existing tool_id values for linking, updating, or deleting tools.

## Authentication

Every request to the Tools API uses your Web API key.

- **X-API-Key header** (prefix nb_): Send your key in the X-API-Key header. Find or create it in the dashboard under the Developers tab. Each key is scoped to a single project, which is why no project_id is ever passed. Validate a key first with GET /api/ext/test.

## Response fields

Each array item is a compact tool summary. Use the id as the tool_id in other Tool endpoints.

- **Tool summary**: id is the tool_id used throughout this API. method is the HTTP verb the tool calls on its target url. timeout_seconds is how long Nabrah waits for the webhook before giving up. Fields: `id`, `name`, `description`, `url`, `method`, `timeout_seconds`.

## Authorization

- `X-API-Key` (string, header, required): your workspace API key.
